:doh:Yep there it is...my bad..

And X2 or whatever on the two A or Two B springs, I swapped out my B for another A..sitting fine now..

Sorry to make you measure again, but do you have any idea how tall your cruiser is with the new lift and tires?

Also, what gear ratio are you using? Thanks and great tire/wheel selection!!! The wider stance looks much better than the 15x6's.

The roof is higher than my head, I'm 6'2". its pretty durn tall.
I am using stock gears with the stock 4 speed.

by-the-way mine OME have been on a year..very little settling going on...

Do you mean leveling out or getting lower?

So............how long did it take ya???

I think we figured about 14 hours.

Is the left rear an "A" spring?

Yes

Who did you buy your lift from? What length shackles did you go with? Are those 33x9.50 tires? Thanks

Man-a-fre, they are the greasable shackles included in the kit. 33x10.5

As I've stated before...
If you have a USA FJ6x you need either two "A" springs or two "B" springs, but do not use and A and a B spring. That is incorrect for USA FJ6x's.
Now your pimp has a limp...

I know, but what are they gonna do just hand me another spring?

Mine didn't level out untill they handed me another A spring. ARB knows this is a problem..do a search..lots of information..Read then Call ARB...

Mine has not settled more than a 1/4 inch since I put them on over a 18 months ago.. I've never read where the "lean" was eliminated by time and settling..however, as demonstrated earlier in this thread..I often miss a lot of content on first readings :o..

Yes, they SHOULD, but I doubt they WILL. They keep selling OME "kits" that are put together wrong (and they know it). I'd give ARB up in Seattle a call and explain to them what's going on. I think it was Chris who I dealt with to get mine fixed. They sent me a new spring pack asap.

Oh, and it isnt ARB's fault...OME does NOT sell a "kit". They sell each part individually, and it is the dealer's job to compile them appropriately to the customer. Unfortunately, MAF does not "do" customer service, and they dont care to learn from mistakes either (IMHO).

awesome job

that is one sharp looking 60 you got,now let's get that tie rod replaced and get that rig nice and muddy:cheers:. john

Thanks high desert and dirtylittlesecret, i will let my dad handle the issue because no one is going to believe a 17 year old.

You got the idea...I gotta add that Chris up at ARB knows of the situation, and has been awesome at remedying numerous MUD members' rides that were messed up by MAF.

Hey klinetime,
Rig looks good! I am going to start assembly in about a week on mine. I have two questions for you. Did you use the u shaped pieces that came off of the old spings with the rubber inside or did you toss those and mount directly to the axle?
Also did you set up lean when you were finished, or were you supplied with the correct aa bb set up from the start?
I am only asking because i am getting my set up from MAF as well but it is used.
Thanks

I threw out the old rear isolator plates and used the supplied widening spacers to mount axle to spring.

Mine is high sided on the drivers side about an inch. I am gonna try to contact arb and get a spring though. I was giving an A and a B spring with the kit man-a-fre assembled, and i put the A on the drivers side rear

Great thanks for the quick reply. Happy turkey day. Enjoy your cruiser. I will start a new thread as soon as I begin again on the new Lift to post my progress.

No Problem. Hope your install goes smooth and your turkey day is a good one.

One last question did you have any lean?

Yes it is high sided on the drivers side. about an inch higher.

As previously posted.

Axles to Bump stops:

Front Left 5 inches

Front Right 4.75 inches

I'd definitely NOT order from MAF, but would give Kurt at Cruiser Outfitters a call. He knows what's going on, is great to work with, and is a dedicated member who's been an asset to our community. You'll be WAY happier in the end...

Congrats! Nice job, too. OME lift was my b-day present 2 years ago and I still love our lifted 60 like it was done yesterday. :bounce2: Have fun breaking it in!
