I ordered an OME 2.5" kit (leafs, shocks, greaseable shackles) from Summit / Rocky Road Outfitters on 1/16/09. I was told at the time there was an 8 week lead time. 16.5 weeks later, no kit and they still can't give me an estimated delivery date. Anyone else having this problem?

So what have you orderd from Summit?

What did you order from rocky road outfitters?

Just got off the phone with ARB USA:

They have front and rear lift springs on hand.

Have you given these folks money?

If you call ARB they can probably tell you if the company has even placed your order. When I ordered a air locker years ago and I was wondering where it was, they were able to pull my order and tell me the status. My guess is that Rocky Road is the issue. In my experience most vendors don't seem to carry much ARB inventory and have things drop shipped direct from ARB to the customer which makes complete business sense to me. Almost everything they sell is very heavy and who wants to pay for shipping twice?

order from ARB

I was going to order the same kit in a few weeks from Man-a-Free... can you order them directly from ARB? I was told the same thing that Poser stated... that ARB makes the retailer pay the shipping and then they ship it to you... very expensive, can we cut out the middle man??

If you look real close in POSER's signature you will see that LCR4WD sells ARB.

Why not call him ?

You cannot order direct from ARB, that's why we have all the great dealers on this site. Give Poser a shout and maybe he can help you out. If the springs are in stock, the lift should only take about five days to get to your door. Good luck.

I ordered an OME setup for my 75 40 at the start of April and the was no issues in geeting it. Its beeing delivered as we speak. Got it from EBI. Only reason it taking a little longer to get the parts to me is because I got them to ship the parts to Aqualu and both my new tub and suspension are now on route. Should see them next week sometime.

Good question. The web address is Summit, the page loads as Rocky Road. I don't even know.

Thanks for the responses. They have not taken any money. I will PM Poser now.

Precisely the point!! We use to offer the OME's for FJ60 only, but quit because:
(a) Had to pay freight from Seattle to LA.
(b) Had to pay a boxing charge.
(c) Got very little discount from ARB.
(d) Had to include all the extra "safety features" that OME evidently forgot.
Consequently we became the most expensive place on the planet to buy OME. Now that I've got my head out of my butt and realize Poser is an OME Distributor, I know who to send customers to!!!
