Pics of the MB quart 5-1/4" separates mounted in the door. I was highly irritated to find out the woofer grills were missing from the packaging. Now I'll have to go after market. Probably best though as the last pair of of speakers that were in before these were Boston acoustics that were square and left some marks,as well as some screw holes. they probably wouldn't have covered them. In hindsight I should have gone with 6-1/2"s. Im impressed with the sound quality of these though, especially when you consider they are the shallow depth speakers and have a very small magnet. I chose to flush mount the tweeters and aligned them to fit in the stock access hole on the door skin. This puts the tweeter closer to the dash but not obstructed. The sound deadener on the outer door skin and the vapor barrier/sound damper on the inside door skin makes an INCREDIBLE difference in sound.

Double checking the new IPOR seats for clearance on my Amp, plenty of room. I mounted the crossovers for the separates on the inside of the center console mounting structure. Next up, SOR carpet kit.

it brings a tear to my eye to see someone putting so much into a 60. it is truly beautiful

It is looking very good!!! I will be going the same route once I get a second job to pay for it. I think the cruiser bug for those with 60's truly is a labor of love due to the amount of effort these trucks require to get them back to roadworthy condition.

your a good man. Thats a load to put into a 60, especially with all of othat rust. Keep it coming!

cant get enough of this cruiser and the progress youve made, would love to see some more pics and hear how much difference in road noise the sound deadener will make. Im starting to get motivation to get some body work done on mine now too!

SOR I believe. the Color is not a perfect match and you'll have to do some trimming, I wish I would have had another car to practice on. Take your time and get good quality pair of very sharp shears.

I changed the 5-1/4 inch speakers in the front to 6-1/2's looks much better and the sound difference was amazing. I'll add pics

Adding pics of interior and after lift

Swapped 5-1/4" front speakers for 6-1/2". Huge improvement, required 1/2" spacers to clear window channel. s***ty pic, photbucket re-sixes the pics, cant see the door panel for s***. I'll need to take some closer up shots.
