Okay, let's all get together this week in Tucson!

Well with my last post you guys turned me on to Tim Hill, with that I got my hard top then a friend was wanting an FJ so I took him over there and he bought one of Tims. So there are at least two maybe three of us with FJs that will come. Anybody else wanna meet on the NW side of Tucson in the next two weeks? Let's all plan something to at least get together and talk.

You stole my thunder. I was just getting ready to post that I got my membership stuff today.

As for Tucson, I am more than happy to help in any way possible, but with my erratic work schedule, I find it hard to be the lead in planning things. I would love to have someone step up and really spearhead that.

My cruiser is about a month away from having the whole front end torn off. Over the summer it will be getting a 305, 4 speed tranny, power steering and disk brakes.

Okay, I don't know many of the trails in Tucson and my Rig's pretty much stock other then 31s and a 3 inch lift so I'd need something fairly mellow. That whould suit me well anyway as I'd like to all just meet up for a few hours and run a mellow trail. So does anybody know something easy and easy to get to for all parts of town? Even something simple like a run around ragtop or something like that's fine with me. Let me know when and I'll bring at least me and my business partner with our FJs. Something arounf noon would be perfect for me with that.

Has anything else moved forward with this? I have been a bit busy as the wife is leaving for a month in Hong Kong for work tonight and haven't been thinking about much of anything else.

I am up for a trail run, or even just another parking log get together.

more central?? i can spit accross tucson how more central can it be??
maybe you should host a cruiser BBQ?? i have done one and you would be surprised how many MORE cruiser ppl show up for food than just a parking lot meet.

A BBQ is a great idea. I really wish I had more time to be able to organize things, but with my erratic work schedule that just isn't possible at this point.

Tucson might be a lot smaller than Phoenix, but with our complete lack of freeways, you would be amazed how many people will not drive across town for any reason. I am not one of them, but I have a good friend who hasn't been on the NW side of town in over 10 years.

I like the idea of a Cruiser BBQ. I think a location like himmel park would be ideal. Himmel park is on tucson near speedway. It doesn't get much more central than that. There is plenty of parking and the park is very nice. Lets try and get this thing going and do it by the end of the month. I would be more than willing to help plan this if there are some people willing to help. I am getting back in Tucson Tomorrow and I have a lot of things to do (see family, Move into a new house, etc.) but if there is enough interest and someone willing to help get the word out I would be more than willing to put in the time. Just shoot me a PM if anyone is interested.
