Hi Guys
i own a lovely BJ43 1979 3.9, inline 6 Cylinder cruiser, i have been restoring the vehicle for a few years now but only recently started driving it i noticed the old oil sender unit the previous owner had connected the signal wire to the ground(round bit) of the sender and thus not reading oil pressure. I ordered and changed the sender with new one from Toyota and the same thing. The gauge works as if you touch the wire to ground the gauge reacts and moves accordingly. I have also used my working sender from BJ40 i have thats been running for years and works fine, also cranked engine over for a second without sender unit installed and oil squirts out. But no reading with sender unit installed.
any ideas and help would be appreciated!
