I have a 4bt in my wagon, but the oil pressure sender is from the 2f. The oil pressure gauge was reading good, but after some maintenance the wire was connected to the ground terminal instead of the center pin terminal. It took me a while to realize the gauge was pegged and the wire was connected wrong. After reconnecting it to the center terminal the gauge will barely move up from the resting position. The gauge will still peg when I ground it. Assuming that I have good oil pressure do you think that I fried the gauge or the sender is bad?

You have fried the gauge. I just went through the same situation. When grounded the gauge sort of hyper extends itself. The needle pegs itself and tries to keep rotating thus ruining the gauge. Sorry but you will ned a new one.

x2 .The gauge is very very sensitive.
