Hello I’m trying to learn the anatomy still of this engine! I know it is difficult but if anyone can tell , what is this part I need possibly a gasket I have an oil leak on the backside of what maybe is the oil pump? 3rd photo is oil running to the front but it’s coming from the back on this part I have pictured.

First guess oil pump seal as you stated. Could be distributor o ring leaking from the top down. One
Front crank pulley will need to be removed to get to the oil pump seal, do the front main seal while you are in there.

I did all 3 recently takes a lot of time, not a lot of $.
Good info here:

If it truly is coming from the back that's your power steering pump, but the oil pump cover on the front is a very common leak

All the above but first IMO you could clean those areas off well then watch closely to see where the oil leak re-appears.
Once things are clean it may only take a few minutes of the engine idling to spot the leak location.

From past history (personal and on the forum) seems like most likely sources in that area are the oil pump cover gasket and distributor O-ring.
Less common IME is the timing cover can leak in that corner above the oil pump cover and to the right of the idler pulley as shown in the third/bottom photo in the first post.

Tip: do not spray water on the distributor (cover it first) or the top of the engine, best to avoid spraying any solvents or strong cleaners into the
the alternator either. IME regular car wash soap or non-solvent based mild degreaser is good enough along with some hand scrubbing if required.

@garrett96 did you resolve your oil leak? I am a new owner as well and i do have some minor leak from similar, if not, the same area. Would love to know how you resolved it.
