just trying to find out where i can source the feed and return lines on the block?

you could do a remote mounted oil filter and run the oil cooler in line, i am trying out the amsoil dual remote system at the moment, but dont have any sort of cooling. you can get the parts for a remote oil filter setup at princess auto in calgary and probally some well stocked/knowledgable industrial hose shops.

my buddy just told me to use the return line off of the vacuum pump on the back of the alternator, run it to an oil cooler and then return it via the return line of the pump. sounds good to me, but...?

I'd go with the remote filter. bigger diameter of hose which will give better flow. The return off the alt. is pretty narrow.

anyone with an oil sandwich to run a remote cooler .. ? just interested in the size and thread and where to boy asuming it's the same as you will found in a 2H

I used the amsoil remote kit filter kit, it has a fitting you thread onto the motor where your oil filter used to go. It has large hose to an aluminum manifold which houses 2 filters. What do you mean by oil sandwich and where to boy? :hhmm:

:hhmm: Why don't you just use the oil cooler that comes with the engine?

I think he means in addition to the in-block cooler, perhaps for a turbo. The 13BT has an external cooler.

stock us models

do they have oil coolers, it would be nice to get a spacer to drop the filtrer that has an in/out to run a oil cooler. how much are those kits

well

i have 3 3b cruisers and there isn't one oil cooler on either of them. just my luck i guess. their all from bj60's. one thats a daily driver, one that is my parts truck and another that i got on a frame with running gear.

Maybe in the 70's series????

Must be a hot and cold climate thing I guess, Has anybody actually installed a sensor and measured oil temp? if your oil isn't running hot there isn't a whole lot of point installing a cooler.
