When changing just the filter do you just have to be fast or will oil stop flowing after a bit?

I took my filter off recently to get better access to an AC compressor bolt - lost a quarter of a quart only, that is about 8 oz., stopped dripping completely within a minute or two. No need to rush.

Holy thread resurrection! Dormant for 13 years.

No to high mileage oil. Yes to M1 Extended performance 15k oil - worth the extra few dollars on a 5qt bottle.

Kind of ironic that @lazarus18 resurrected it
