It's an 85 22R Xtra Cab. Looked for a year and a half before I found one that wasn't rotted through.

Hello mud members,
I found this forum researching land cruisers for a purchase. I have found it to be very valuable community.
I am in sw Ohio ( reading ) near sharonville tri county area. I did buy the LC that I had my eye on and I love it. I was looking for a Toyota truck for a new job and spotted the LC and fell in love with it. It will most certainly become more than just a tool to get me back and forth from work.
As o am a noob to the 4x4 world I am looking forward to some snow and looking for some light trailing to get my feet wet.
I bought a 94 locked in really nice shape.

Matt

Great to have ya! How about a picture of that sweet rig?

Made my first trip in it q couple of weeks ago to a browns game. She never missed a beat.

Go browns!!

My buddy is the former owner of that rig. What did you pay for it? He traded it on a 100. Did the dealer do any work to it?

Nice rig! That rig does look familiar...I feel as I have seen it around town before?

According to the carfax it started in Dublin then went to new jersey then to Chicago then to Wisconsin back to Dublin then to cincy. It was state inspected by performance Toyota in Fairfield in may where it sat until a buy here pay here lot bought and titled it in august.

It was in cincy from 2001 I think.

Did you buddy have a dog? I still haven't been able to get all of the hair out of it :bang::)

The tires are in very good shape, new shocks/ steering stabilizer, new brake booster/ master cylnder, new wires, plugs, distributor.

Everything works on this truck and I mean everything.

The truck is very clean...no rust on top and just the usual underneath.
Only one small dent over the d/s rear door handle...no door dings anywhere. The hatch has had a bad spray job around the bottom of the window but that is no big deal. I bought the truck as a tool so I wouldn't trash my civic Si from a new job but I am slowly falling in love with her.

I have put about 2000 miles on her in just over two weeks and so far all is good.

Things I know off the top of my head....I directed my buddy to it from a FS ad here on mud. He went to Cbus to buy it. It has new front axle shafts, new elocked front diff, the front axle was rebuilt within the last 2 years. He dropped a lot of maintance money into it. Performance Offroad in Alexandria did some work on the front axle originally, TD Performance has been used and parts were bought from Cdan. Rust was getting the better of the rear hatch. I can't remember exactly what he told me but watch the coolant and head gasket. From what he told me he did mention these things to Performance when he traded it in. He's an honest guy. If you have any questions let me know and I'll try and find out. He is a mud lurker.

The coolant Is a issue, albeit small one for now. I noticed that the rear heater lines are seeping. I was thinking of deleting it. I have a old registration with the previous cincy owners name. I will pm you with it tomorrow and see if it the same guy.

I can tell that it has had some work done to it. I have basic mechanical skills and with the help of this forum I think that I should be able to handle most stuff (hopefully) I just wished I had a garage.

Oh yeah, $5800
