Howdy! I keep forgeting this forum is here. I work in Cinti & live about 40 miles east. Long time multiple FJ40 owner. 1's setup more for trail, than show. The other is in the basement waiting for attention. Ken

Welcome Jon!
I'm guessing you're not Jon H., 2002 SCCA ProRally national champion?

Nope last name is Miller not Hamilton. It's just an old handle that I use on forums so I don't forget it. I road raced for a while then got into rally in 2004. Just not enough local events for me to justify having 2 rally cars, a F350, and a trailer after a few years. Thinking of building a vintage car next but just for fun!

I crewed w/ Jon from 2000 til... the end of the RallyVW program. IIRC, our last event was RallyNY in 2007?

Good times.

We are involved in cheap road racing now. Contact me direct if you're interested in doing the 24HrsofLeMons @ Nelson Ledges (actually ChumpCar this year) We're always looking for drivers and/or crew to round out the roster.

The snow drifting looks like a blast... The only chance i get to do that is in the local Meijer parking lot in a 60... Not quite as much fun :D

Jim, as long as the dates don't conflict with anything I can possibly assist in crewing for you. I have some other friends building a car as well. What kind of car are you running? I can bring along my suit and helmet too if needed :D. I love Nelson's and the only track I know better is BeavRun in PA since I worked there for a few years,

Chris, glare ice combined with 80MPH is totally out of control awesomeness.

Hey folks

Just moving here from Utah, well before there I was in Alabama, and before that Texas...

I'll be working in Cleveland and living close to there.

Right now my rigs are in Utah and I may bring the 40 out before too long. In the mean time I spotted a 79 60 nearby.

Just checkin in.

Hey Guys,

For those of you who don't know i have been associated with the club since about 2001. I know Karl (buckeye4x4) Jim (FJ40jim) Vince (trailyota).

I had a 77 FJ40 which i ended up selling for parts. Since then i have had a number of Toyota projects. The only thing i really ever got off the ground was Suzuki Samurai.

I was the last functioning treasurer of the club back in 2008. The Good News is there is still Club money left. So we may be able to to have some club functions once again.

It seems there are plenty of people who would like to meet up. I'd be interested in doing something with it again when i get back from Kuwait.

If any of you are wondering what is currently in the stable. I have been taking care of my brothers 85 Pickup the "BUCKETT". Other random junk includes a 86 samurai getting a 1.6 EFI conversion. Last but not least a 1984 AMC Jeep Cherokee Chief.

What part of Cle did you land in?
I am in Newburry now and work in Mentor. My 40 is tucked in my garage and my 62 took a dump so no cruiser driving right now.

Bought my first cruiser (69 FJ40) in McConnelsville in 1988. Still have it, but now live in AZ, (Copper State Cruisers) and also have a 74 FJ55.

Will be back in Zanesville at the end of June, early July. Wouldn't mind meeting some of the cruiser folks when I'm there. Still have some the pictures of winter runs by the mid ohio group.

I bought several Cruisers out of the McConnelsville & zanesville area also. Surprising how relatively popular in that part of the state they used to be.

You may have bought the other cruiser my brother-in-law had. I bought the one he had in the barn, not running, and he had a daily driver that he later sold, and has regretted doing so ever since. I believe it was a 72 or 74, gold.

Thanks guys, sorry for the late response. Turns out that I'm based in Medina (about 30 miles south of Cleveland). I'll be looking for a place to set up somewhere in between.

I'd really like to get my 40 out here asap but it's gonna need some engine and body work once I do. So where is there to wheel around here? I've checked out a few private parks within a few hours drive, but what about just locally? Powerline trails or any thing "off the map"?

I bought my first Yota about 6 months ago and love it! Did some light off roading with it so far but hope to try Wellsville soon. I'm in the Medina/Akron area.
