In the MUD...OUTSIDE the box
:)

This might serve as my intro to the 70 series section here on MUD 'cause I bought my first 70 series and it arrived. All I can say is that I am super stoked. I've owned every model of cruiser available in US except a 45LV and a 200 series. My first cruiser was an 84 FJ60.

The 70 series is the culmination of true, classic Land Cruiser simplicity, ruggedness, dependability, styling, and comfort. And, the cool factor is off the charts....I'm definitely hooked....

Nice 75 mate.....

Is it a gasser or oiler?
Specs, Mods and future plans for it??????

She looks pretty stock......

Its a 2H. It looks like the one on Ebay last week in Florida

Congrats,

I bought my first 70 a few months ago after owning two 80's and its a blast in the bush. I miss my lockers from the 80 but sure love the air ride seats. I love your troopie, NICE RIDE!

G'day Mates! Thanks! She is essentially a ONE owner with only 260K km's, A/C, P/S. Complete stock except for the Thomas 8000# PTO winch, and the dealer installed side-facing rear bench seats which were installed 3 days after the vehicle was purchased new. It was originally sold as a 3 seater. I have ALL the the service records, manuals, tools/jack, etc. that came with the cruiser when new.

The 2H purrs like a kitten. the H55 shifts smooth and tight. I'm used to my 84 HJ47 Troopy, so when I jumped in the HJ75, I was amazed at how much quieter and smoother is rode....P/S has a lot to do with that, but also the 75 dash helps to deaden the noise it seems.

The interior is pristine. I think the cruiser was a 'mall-cruiser', 'grocery getter', or the wifey's car because it really seems that a woman drove this car for the last 25 years.

Mods planned:

--Later model sliding windows for rear cargo. Anybody got some?
--Turbo, eventually
--Dobinson or OME lift -- seems to be toss up as which lift is preferred. Your opinions?
--OEM snorkel
--Rear tire carrier, maybe rocker/sliders.
--Roof rack, possible RTT.
--Window tint
--Some kind of stereo. It has the stock radio but no CD,etc.
--lights for the bull bar
--seat covers ;)

Wow, I can't believe that troopie is 25 years old, it looks brand new! I think you scored a very nice rig man, congratulations.

Did you buy that fine rig on Ebay??? I had my eyes on it but not in a position to buy right now. If I recall you got a great deal on in. Congrats

Hello,

A fine rig. Hard to believe it is 25 years old.

Enjoy it and take good care of it.

Nice Rig mate will look good with those rims painted grey or even better with some fattys
i have a set of 4x brown troopy rear seats for sale if your ever chasing to make it a 8 seter in the rear

It's an oiler. Has diesel badge on the grille.

It's also a 75 series from 85-88 because it hasn't got side repeaters. which means the only question is ...

12h or 12ht.

Generally the metal grill gives it away that is a 85 to 89
The side indicators in Aus come out in 91 just like in the vp commodores and eb falcons got side indicators

I'm guessing 12H.

Congratulations on the Troopie!

every ones mentioning 12h ? ...2h or 12ht ay?

yeah i originalyl screwed up and wrote 12h instead of 2h (was thinking 12ht at the time I guess)

Then yeah, the rest is history?

Nice ride. Good luck setting it up to your standards. I would highly suggest some side steps of some sort if you lift it, unless you're already 6'6 :D
