FJ80 LandCruiser Front Axle Parts for Sale

I tore apart a front FJ80 axle over the last few days.

I acquired it for the HP diff. Everything else is up for grabs except the birfs since the driver's side has a broken inner axle and the pass side is spoken for. It is an ABS model.

The housing is bent on the driver's side, but both knuckles and steering arms look OK. Spindles look good and can be sold complete with bearings and drive flanges. ABS sending units look OK.

Let me know if you need anything with an offer. I can ship.

no worries as I don't really need another 80. But linking is quite easy.

go to the advance tab

select the link button, globe with paper clip

and then paste the url into the box and OK.

80 series rear bumper and tire carrier

I am changing direction with my 80 series and no longer will be able to use the rear bumper and tire carrier I built for it. It is extremly stout, but not the prettiest one around. I need to get $350 for it or I will just cut it up and use the pieces for my new build. I have more pictures of it, but my computer is down and linking from the phone is a pain. I can text or email pics if anyone wants them.

WTB Mini Truck axle shafts, housing

Going to attempt to build a centered hybrid Land Cruiser Axle/Mini Truck Axle. If it works I'm planning on running a Dana 300 because I can get a terra low kit for it and end up with 4:1 t-case gearing for a lot less than getting an Orion and I won't run the chance of splitting the 3 speed case and I can clock the t-case.

Does anyone have and pre 85 rear mini truck housing (no axle shafts or diffs needed), 86-95 rear mini truck axle shafts with bearing retainer. Cheap or free is good as the budget is tight on this because I may just booger it up :hillbilly:

Not yet. I was going to try to build the axle before I commit. I think that the Novak kit allows you to clock it. On the flip side if it works I'll have the SM465 adapter and three speed case for sale.

if it comes to the point you'd like to "test drive" some parts, i have a clocking ring on my dana300 as well as the 4:1 gears inside. My scrambler sits 95% of the time, and it wouldn't be the first time i've lent my t-case out before.. Mine are the Lomax gears, not the terra's i found they got better reviews.

Sweet. Thanks for the offer. I didn't even know about the Low Max kit. For $30 more thats nothing if they are stronger.

I just think this would be a good route so that if I stepped up to 1tons in the future I don't have to upgrade all at once.

fyi, i also have the HD front output, it doesn't make any difference except internally. ALSO ! when buying a 300 , there are 2, you have to get the one with the longer tailshaft, its not much different, but it IS different. i have a spit case to prove it. ! hahah.

Good to know. My buddy has one from a 79 CJ. I'll take a look at it once I tell him I'm stealing it.

i stand corrected, from lomax's site : The LoMax gears are compatible with both the long and short tail versions of the Dana 300. and the more i think about it now, there was an issue with the machining that had to be done for the front output that was done wrong..

I have the mini housing and axles along with the Land Cruiser axle and diff parts to build one. I understand that the mini housing actually slides into the LC housing. That should be a lot stronger since the mini one is a bit on the weak side IMO. The shafts are the same strength as those on a LC, just equal length. The mini rear drums are simpler than the LC ones (one wheel cylinder at the top). You can also move the ebrake to the rear wheels. A rear disk conversion is an option for the same money as on an LC, maybe even less.

Your's is a very good idea overall for a LC, especially with the D300 and LoMax gears.

I'm going to do mime for Minnie just to get the 9.5 diff since I already have the Marlin Crawler dual case set up which has a centered output since it uses stock cases. I know lots of folks run the 8" in the back on mini's with dual cases, but I'd feel better having the beefier LC diff, especially with the 10:1 reduction I'll be getting through the double cases.

I'll be interested in how this conversion works out for you.

Since the Tan 40 is sold and gone, I was thinking of doing something with the Swiss Miss. I have an Aussie 4 speed connected to a 3 speed t-case and was considering an Orion in place of the 3 speed case. Your idea might be better if I swap in my SM465 instead of the Aussie.

Well if you decide to go that route I have one of the thinner plate adapters. and t-case already to go along with the SM465 with the output shaft alreadt drilled and tapped.
