Not bad on the Kaymar bumper given that they are now unobtainium at all here in the states until Kaymar finds a new distributor for their product here. They went from Man-a-Fre to Outback Proven. While MAF is still in business, Outback Proven is not. Swingouts for that 80 series are no longer produced either.

They redesigned the 80 series rear bumper a few years ago with new swingouts - double jerrycan most notably and slimmer tail lights. As the craigslist bumper is the older design from what I can tell, the new swingouts won't work on the older bumper IIRC. Pretty darn sure about that because I contacted Kaymar about the newer dual jerrycan swingout and was told it would NOT fit my older bumper with the tire swingout I already had. Perhaps one or the other, but not sure. Maybe both newer swingouts on the old bumper as I was specifically asking about the DS dual jerrycan carrier with my existing PS tire carrier- email sales at Kaymar. They were pretty responsive to my inquiry. Your only issue would be getting the newer swingouts here in the States with nobody to sell them right now.

Swingouts for the older style bumper are no longer made. They don't even have the jig to make one! I asked!!! You'd have to find those on the resale market and I looked for over 2 years before finding the single jerrycan swingout, for the correct side obviously, to go with my tire carrier.

Take a look at this new design from Kaymar's site - it's not the same as the Craigslist ad. Tail lights are slim and LED (I believe), the diamond plate wraps over the old design and the corner edges are a little more tapered on the new design.

Hope that helps!

Love the spindle condoms.

I had one of those black 'spindle condom's' for years before I found the DS swingout. It was too small for me so I used it on the truck instead. ;)

That helps a lot but not the answer I was hoping for :bang: curse you unobtanium! Thanks Brent

If you can get it for a good price like $600-$700 I would still pick it up. It's a good bumper and one of the only ones I know of that's tow rated and in addition does not require cutting the cross member. You would have an excellent starting point and not have to worry about having the main bumper fabricated and dealing with structural issues, proper mounting points, aesthetics, etc. The swingout are relatively easy to fabricate, comparatively.

Totally agree @sdnative just looking around to see how often used swing outs for this bumper pop up. @Brentbba my guess is after your two year search to find yours, they started popping up all over the place. Have you seen used can or tire carriers for your bumper since?

There was one that just sold in the classifieds for $600. Was there for over a month. Maybe you can use that as a bargaining point.
