Actually I thought the 2LT-E Engine was the one that had problems not the 2LT.

perhaps I am mistaken.

Cool looking little rig, and LHD is nice, but 11k seems ambitious. I'd like to drive that series sometime!

Lots of cool stuff coming in now that we reached 1990 with the 25 year old import law. Hopefully more hit our shores and drive the prices down for the US market.

I read a thread here about a guy that found another car brand canister works well and is far cheaper. Its been within a month or so.

there is a well documented alternative in 80s tech as well.... believe it is an autozone brand and requires slight bracket mods to fit.

I just heard about that one as well from @psbarger (sits next to me at work). He swapped his out and the Autozone version cost about $50 vs $300+ for the Toyota. Thanks yall!

I've got one installed on my Cruiser. Works great and eliminates the high pressure hiss when opening the gas cap.

I never really thought much about this on my cruiser, but lately I have been smelling more gas at idle (definitely hisses when I open the cap). Thought the mix was off a tad, and after Mr. Free following me at Hurricane Creek, maybe this is a little of my smell issues (along with the burning oil!)

Add one more thing to get for the 80.
