I’m looking for a bunch of stone to build a firepit in the backyard of my new house. I need material that’s similar to fieldstone, such as what’s pictured at the following link, but I’m flexible depending on what you have. I can come pick it up, so before I head down to the Stone Center on 55, let me take away your unwanted stone!

Anybody got a front driveshaft for a 40? Mine has a lot of slop at the slip joint. I don't know if the shafts are the same for all years but mine is a 12/70 so I need one that will work for that year. Let me know.

Shaft is 23.25 center of cap to center of cap with 1" out on the slip joint. Let's say 22.25 fully compressed. Does that sound right?

Unless you absolutely want a fieldstone firepit, you could always use concrete block. Here is the one I built. I used firebrick to line the inside and capped the top surface with a layer of concrete. It cost me about $30 in materials to build. I used the pallet in the background for firewood.
