I drove by that last week, pretty sweet set up. Expensive man town, maybe with enough residents it wouldn’t be bad.

I can see it now . . . storage for anyone - monthly dues based on your storage level/size - keep all your cruiser stuff here - keyless entry - come and go as you please. Couple of lifts - tools . . . Country Club for Cruisers.

An idea I have had for some time now. All it needs is someone to buy it and make the dream come true. Could be a real deal for the club and a one-of-a-kind thing that no other club has. Call it The HAMOM Garage!

I too have put some thought into the "car country club" idea but not on an ONSC level...more as a for-profit business venture. The best scenario for one of these would be to purchase an old vacant car dealership and set it up in there. Showroom becomes a bar/restaurant for members and the service area becomes common work area. Lifts, pits, etc could remain pretty much as they were when the site was a dealership. You could offer different levels of storage and /or service to include full maintenance or self serve access to lifts, etc. If the location has a big parking lot, set up an autocross track. You could host events, car shows, etc to self promote and make a little extra money to go toward the bottom line.

Overseas they have the garage share going on. We need that here.

Great ideas here!

Sounds like the start of a good idea for the club as a whole. Maybe this needs to be looked into further.

Kinda reminds me of what we had at McChord. We had a shop onsite that you could use once you had taken a class. It had lifts for oil changes, etc. Those of us in the dorms used it pretty often and was a really nice option for those not allowed to work in the parking lots of an apartment complex, etc.

Let me know when y'all figure out how to raise $300k for that property and we'll get right on it
