Onemanarmy- as for the 55 it wasn't quite spray paint, but I've seen better come out of Maco. Orange peal, fish eyes, painted over chips and drips in the paint are a few paint issues I noticed when looking at it with Erymer. But then again if it were me, I would repainted it anyways as that was a LOT of green. I don't mind that color but should have stuck with the orig two tone, then it would be tolerable.

@ Rice I will take that microwave, mom needs a replacement. will be in Raleigh on friday

Personally stock vs stock performance I think the superwinch husky series are the best around... followed by the 8274. Especially if the 8274 has been modded and an extra motor has been added like they do to them in Europe quite a bit.

Other than than that you get what you paid for and at the same time cheap winches can be good also.

Just found this NC part of the forum. Anyone in need of some like new Michellin 29in tires? (50 miles or so on them). They fit on my stock rims. Trying to find a way to offset the price of some 31s...

Also, how much do you guys think an OME suspension (maybe a 1-2 in lift) would cost all in? Eventually interested in that.

Thanks!

Welcome to the clubhouse

Give some more info on tires like specific size, size rim, style tread and a price. 29s may be a hard sell to this crowd but you never know when they may it someone's dd or extra vehicle.

As far as OME lift what vehicle do you have? 80 series? 6x series? Sorry if it's in your signature, I'm on mobile so doesn't show.

Basically lifts start around a grand.

I'd look/shop here

Tried to attach images of the tires, zero idea why they attach upside down as they aren't that way on the camera.

As for the suspension, I've been told a suspension upgrade improves the ride, and given some slightly larger tires, an inch or two lift would help accommodate that. I plan to do a lot of camping, Hunting with this and don't think it would hurt to put some more aggressive tires on it.

How much are you asking for the tires?

I've got a set of 16 inch 2002 4runner sport wheels if you might be interested in a trade? You might need a spacer for them to change the offiset.

Id only be interested in the tires for my 88 4r. I wouldnt need the wheels

A Demon deacon huh? And another gold 60 series out of Winston. That place is some sort of honey hole it seems lately.

Don't hang around here too long and definitely don't talk to @GLTHFJ60 alone or you may end up with an new modern power plant and one ton axles :D

But in all seriousness there's a lot of knowledgeable folk in here and some of every kind of cruiser owner so I think you'll find us to be alright.

If you can make it out next week we are going to grab dinner 2/9 at macs speed shop in GSO or next month at bad daddy's in Winston. It would be great to meet you and we all like looking over another cruiser.

I'll ask another new 60 owner if he has tires on the way already.

Thanks, appreciate the welcome and I'll definitely try to get to one of those in the coming months. I had no idea there were this many local LC people...good to know.

Yup lots of folks in the area that can help out as well. Welcome aboard. Pencil in the 9th and come join us for good food, good beer, better friends and a whole bunch of story telling. check out the triad/greensboro meet up.

I'm not in a huge rush for tires for the 4r. I've got a set of 31 inch bfg long trails on it that have been on it forever. If I keep the 4r, I'd either get a set of Michelins like yours on my stock 15 inch alloys, a set of 30 or 31 inch yokohama geolander at's on the 15 inch alloys, or on the 16 inch 4r sport wheels....Just got too many other irons in the fire first.

wfdeacon88 +1 on the invite to Macs Speed Shop in GSO. The group is friendly and helpful and will be more than willing to help you spend your hard earned $'s on more parts. They seem to know just where to go. Come on out if you can but if you can't we will be getting together each month. Look for the announcements here on the forum.

Need a 2F oil pan and the hard coolant lines for an FJ60.

I believe that the oil pan can be any 2F, but the coolant hard lines are going to be specific to the FJ60.

Still looking. Please contact me.
