**Official MUD Gathering** Part 1: Midwest Summer Picnic

So while down at GSMTR this year, the Hoosiers and Woody came up with the possible idea to have an official MUD event/gathering. We toyed around with the idea and details started to come together over Corbel, Crown Royal, Corona Lite, and Sam Adams.

The Hoosiers have wanted to start a sanctioned TLCA event sometime in the future. This was too short of a notice for this year so next year we’re planning to organize the sanctioned event. (This is really to support the people in the Midwest that can’t get to other events like Moab, Rubicon, CMCC or GSMTR etc.)

Additionally, knowing that MUD members are damn near all over the country as well as the globe, an event with this title could not be isolated to Indiana and surrounding states. It’s my understanding that our ‘benevolent leader’ would like to have multiple events around the country. (Sorry Woody, had to spill the beans)

Therefore, the first IH8MUD event has been set in motion. The ‘Hoosier Hoedown and IH8MUD Midwest Summer Picnic’ will be at the Badlands in Attica, IN on August 25th through the 27th. Additionally, the FJ Trail Team will be there in support of our event. The event is already on the FJ Trail Teams web site.

Club event thread here.

So come on out and be apart of the first MUD gathering.

Going to be a blast I'll be there for two days anyway.

It's about time!!!!!

Nice to see something in the works. Sure would be nice to use my cruiser this year. Don't think it has been started since the last Badlands trip with Woody. Time to put some fuel in and get her on the trails!

There was a rumor that the campground could be rented and alcohol might be accepted if the entire place was rented. If the owner takes a pass on that concept, there might be an alternitive.......

Sounds good, but might be a problem in that school will have already started for me by then. (starts on 8/17 this year:eek: )

TLCA sanctioned event? I'd rather not. That would mean I have to get my e-brake fixed on the Pig.

I do all my camping at Jeff's place. No skeeters, freindly barkeep and a/c.

too late in the season for TLCA sanctioning...this is more of a preliminary feeler for future years....

doubt we'll pull off a campground deal for this one either...

Jeff's sounds perfect for me. If camping is the call, rv it is, otherwise prime rib, too many beers, and hopefully I can stay up to see the chick walk through and raise her shirt this time!!!

TLC event for me might be tough considering I stopped that a year or tow ago. Might have to join again I guess. Lazy.

Getting Closer....................

We the FJ crusier team should be rested and in good form for this first ever event(we will have just gotten off from a much needed vacation). Looking forward to seeing all you guys again.
