I’m no where near the frame, I’m going wheeling tomorrow so we shall see…

I have found 25-28+ to be the offset that typically needs the least amount of work.

Other people seem to make others work too

Still some cutting and shaping to do, but it’s drivable and I think I may be able to get away with not cutting the fenders. I rolled them out and with my Timbren Bumps and the body lift with a 25+ wheel it was really easy to fit. My body mount was already cut as aggressive as possible.

Granted I have a bit more up travel and droop than stock front and rear. With that said I did a lot to make the old 35s work and not lose up travel. The body lift was a big help with these.

Drives like an absolute dream, way way better than my yoko Es. I wanted a softer tire for deep snow and so far it seems to be a great winter set.

I’ll be taking all the recover points off and shaving all the low hanging stuff off the rear bumper.

I have been very happy with my Mickeys.

Although I let them get a wear pattern and they got semi loud at 55,000 miles.

Still have another 15k left in them If I want to run them that long.

Coming from worn MTs, their road manners are wonderful.

It seems like the perfect CO tire since we don’t get much mud.

Guanajuato Mexico is not made for a LX570 with three bikes on the back. Haha no damage done but took us 2 hrs to get out of the city center and multiple times having to back up when we suddenly couldnt make a turn or fit between parked cars and walls.

Haha, definitely a city designed to be traversed by foot. I snapped this photo in Guanajuato (old honda nerd). About the biggest car I'd want to deal with in that city.

Got some 285/60R20 BFG KO2’s mounted. Already had 1” spacers so it was a breeze. Only had to remove front mud flap and pull front liner forward.

Came from 275/60R20 Michelin LTX, but the BFG’s ride so much better at the same pressure (38). Had to get LTX in high 30’s to smooth out, otherwise were surprisingly rough.

Been saying for awhile that 275s aren't good for this platform for a number of reasons. But particularly the high inflation pressures sufficient to get enough load rating.

Almost seems like the 275 sidewalls square up directly under the rim contact area, so you feel everything. Extra pressure helped quite a bit once it got high enough. 285 just absorbs so much more for a minimal change in width.

Exactly this. Then the higher contact patch pressures.
Combined with higher inflation pressures.

Does not a good ride make.

Not to mention reduced cornering and braking and overall handling.

Fuel economy might be the only win?

TBD. So far only short in town trips due to being off for Christmas.

Braking is definitely better despite the added weight. Steering feels more immediate with a stronger initial turn in.

I appreciate that Wouldn’t say I broke down as I could have driven the LX there, but it was easier and less hassle to tow it.

It is getting a new actuator installed and the OTT tune. After that I’ll install the Hewitt secondary air pump delete kit since the shop wouldn’t install the tune with the kit on.
