Long time coming in updated photos and a little gun shy given the great work being done by others. My 2011 with about 180k miles now has been through some changes. Divorced, house sold and having kids full time have put a hurting on the wallet and the LX gets put to the bottom of the list. Damage to the roof rack leg covers occurred during a garage door mishap (not my fault) and the front corner took a hit a while back (my fault).
Quick list:
Dobinson IMS suspension
Method 314's , Falken AT4W's 285/75/17
EZ flares - need to redo the fronts
Need to clean up the front cuts

How do you like the Dobinsons IMS for the LX? How dose it compare to AHC? Did you tear out all the AHC hardware, or leave most of it in place?

I loved the AHC and wouldn't hesitate to get a newer LX again at some point, especially after having experience with it. When the pump failed, it was a hard choice of fixing that or getting a decent static system like the Dobinsons. I had 165k miles at that point and my logic was, if I replaced the pump, I still would be looking at replacing the shocks or running into other issues with it at some point and decided to just start with fresh shocks/springs all around and the Dobinson IMS seemed well regarded and durable. There's pros and cons to not having the AHC obviously. The ride quality is definitely a bit stiffer and that is a very subjective thing, but I really like it, and it never feels harsh. If I could have afforded it, I would have gone for the Dobinson MRA's I think. I do need to finish removing parts of the AHC still.

Finally got some news shoes. LT275/70/18 BFG KO3s on the Tundra TRD wheels.
How noisy are they? Any rubbing? Could you reuse the original lugnuts or did you have to get a different set to work with the Tundra wheels?

Long time lurker, first time poster on the 570 page. I drive a rattle trapped 100 as my DD and have a 2019 Trailboss as my truck so figured I would round it out with another v8. Super duper clean 2014 we picked up for my wife as we are expecting our 3rd in November. Brought it up to Michigan from GA and its amazing having a vehicle with 0 rust. Will probably keep it pretty stock until she relinquishes it to me when we get her a 550 (hopefully) in the next few years. Except these awful 20" wheels. As soon as I find something to replace it, these things are gone. Otherwise, just going through and fixing the small things (rear struts, a very sunfaded Lexus front logo that was interfering with the PCS, wipers, restoring the headlights, and baselining the fluids). She is coming from a 2018 Rav and this thing is luxury compared. Anyways, cheers!

I think they're noisier than the Dunlops that were on there, but quiet enough that I didn't even think about the noise until I saw your question. I've seen some mention that the KO2s got worse with age so we'll see what happens with these. These are my first E-rated tires so I can't really comment on how they compare to other makes, but I definitely noticed the difference in ride.

I have noticed very minor rubbing at full lock in reverse. I can't hear it, but I can feel it. This is after doing the AHC sensor lift which gave me about 1.25 inches.

I got a little lucky on the lug nuts as I thought the ones for my OE wheels would work (btw my original wheels can be seen in post 4435 of this thread). Costco had the right ones on hand, which was good as they'd already taken my original wheels apart to get the TPMS sensors out. Anyway, I plan to replace them with the black toyota lug nuts, and I want to see if the wrench that comes with a Tundra fits in the LX toolset case as these lug nuts are slightly larger.

My original lug nut is on the left, the new on the right.

Went to a friend’s graduation from fellowship and stumbled upon a really cool trail system by Pickwick Lake in MS, TN, and AL. Was a good send off for him and the LX in current form as it is getting dropped off today for some mods. I probably won’t have it until I pick it up and get out to CO for LCDC but excited for the build.

My favorite color. I settled with 2014 in silver with black exterior because I could not find that grey color with black interior.

How did the faded emblem interfere with the PCS? Mine is quite faded, along with grill, but had no intention of fixing as I sort of like the patina of a high mileage, well used vehicle, but now you have me thinking.

I would say if it works, keep it. I'm still trying to figure out which emblem I need to get that works with the PCS for this year but from the few threads I found on here, it's an issue with mud and snow too. If that sensor is obstructed at all it messes with the system and why 4low and center diff have anything to do with PCS is anyone's guess.

Long time lurker here but purchased my 15' LX570 some time back and have had a lot of work travel. Leaned on @tbisaacs with a lot of questions and I will say that he's an asset to this community! Thanks @tbisaacs

Have Dobinson drawers sitting on my garage floor the last 45 days, hoping to get them in shortly. New wheels and tires in the next month.
