Finally got my Dissent front bumper on. Got to play in some snow here in Los Angeles. View attachment 2880454

Looks great! We are almost twins at this point 😂 We need to get some side by side shots one day. Of course seeing mine next to yours will probably highlight just how bad my pinstriping is.

Link isn’t working.
Fixed!

Nice looking rear end! besides the basket, what swing system is that? I can’t tell from the pic.

Started life as a Yakima Backswing but it's no where near recognizable as it's been completely cut up, reworked, and rewelded.

Checkout this thread that has more detail along with others that have shared some great ideas.

This one? Thas spencive.

Got any more specs? Specifically weight and load cap?
They’re lightweight forged wheels. I think they weigh around 18-20 lbs each. Unsure of load cap.

They’re some of my favorite wheels, but unfortunately 18s were discontinued. They only make 20s in the updated version. Happen to come across this set of used 18s.

Edit: According to this post on Club Lexus, they weigh 19.4 lbs each.

20 lbs?!!? Never seen anything like that that can support 2,500+ lbs. It cant be. That is like GOAT wheel if true.
Dont see specs online. Their website is umm.. how can i say this, i will never give them my money for it.

FWIW, they supply wheels for a lot of racing teams, rally teams, and even the Williams F1 team.

Here’s a pretty cool video of the construction process for both their forged wheels and cast wheels.

They look great, but I am dubious about the load rating for that wheel. I seem to recall a discussion somewhere on here a long time ago that the load rating was too low for a LC/LX but there is practically zero information about it. All the specs have nothing on max load.

Can you see any stamped rating on yours?

I zoomed in on a picture from eBay and it has this rating: VIA T-965KG (maybe 955KG) and P-770KG. From a quick googling, it seems like the ratings depend on type of vehicle the wheel is fitted to (possibly 2 wheel per axle or 4 wheel per axle?). It is also rated with the JWL-T which means it met some light truck standard. In rays ads they also suggest that they test beyond the JWL standards.

On the other hand, I'm pretty sure Rays is considered pretty cutting edge for wheel manufacturers and this wheel was made specifically for the LC/LX, so I can't imagine it not being fit for the job. Possibly you could argue that it wasn't built to go off road I suppose.
