Awesome, great to hear you are happy with the Harrop install.

I’m on the other side of the world but I have the same vehicle, same colour, looking to do the same mod!
You could drive to Harrops HQ (well when you're not in lockdown) and get them to do it.

I'd love to get the kit as well if I end up keeping it once finance period is done.

Went out with some friends for camping Thurs/Fri night, unfortunately where we planned on 4wding was under water (Murray river here in West Aus was almost over the 2m flood marker)

Camping was good fun though still and did a few firewood runs for the evenings as it got down to 0*C

Part of the trail, got narrows and basically had the sound of trees on car for most of it.. she's a thicc girl but I love her.

1 mate went through in his prado and got wash up over his bonnet.. another walking out to check on him before he turned back and returned as the rest of the track was even more underwater

1 of the bridges over the Murray River.. that white tip is the 2m (That's about 6'6" to most of you on here) flood marker

Camp setup next day... being the only 1 without an awning really just hits home how much I need/want 1.

Threw a line but didn't catch anything except a tree branch sadly.

Given we have had 1 of the wettest winters on record we weren't "that" surprised about some areas being wetter than usual but just how much was several metres under water did cause change of plans but we found a good site (Mates has been there previously so had good idea where to go)

Just finished our annual week in Northern AK. 1800 miles in 7 days Anchorage->Denali->Chena->North slope and back. Dalton was in the worst condition I’ve seen it in years, usually it’s bad dust, this year it was mud, over 500 miles of it was mud. But great trip as always never the less.

Do you use the roof top tent as an extra room for the camper?
Occasionally we use the RTT as extra room. We use both the camper and RTT when we go north of Fairbanks. Leave the camper in Fairbanks then use the RTT when on the Elliott and Dalton. This trip spent 4 nights in the camper and 3 in the RTT.

I’ve seen one camp trailer and 3-5 truck toppers on the Dalton in the last 5 years. carrying 20 gallons of extra fuel, 2 spares for the truck, 2-3 spares for the camper, and going < 25 mph, and high possibility catastrophic failure for 250-300 miles each way sounds terrible.

Here’s an idea of what we’ll look like before/after. On my way to the poor man’s LX 570 “heritage edition” build.

Any notion what the “actual” height of the stock tire vs the “actual height” of the replacement is? Wondering how many inches in ground clearance you’re gaining.

also: what rims and tires are you switching to, they look good.

The new ones are true 33” and the old appear to be 31” - so hopefully an inch of clearance? The wheels are AlphaEquipt (they had a big discount at tire rack) and tires are General Grabbler… I got them because it had the best snow rating & again cheaper than KO2.

Always amazing how much more “right” a 33”+ tire looks on a 200 series, it’s a shame they came with 31” from factory.

I could, however with a bull bar and winch to go on the front it might require some alterations so I’ll probably do the install myself.

They can then do a check on the dyno to make sure it’s all good.

I dont know if youve ever driven one, but the LX on 21" wheels rides so bad its a travesty.
Bump steer city.
