Went out with some friends for camping Thurs/Fri night, unfortunately where we planned on 4wding was under water (Murray river here in West Aus was almost over the 2m flood marker)
Camping was good fun though still and did a few firewood runs for the evenings as it got down to 0*C
Part of the trail, got narrows and basically had the sound of trees on car for most of it.. she's a thicc girl but I love her.
1 mate went through in his prado and got wash up over his bonnet.. another walking out to check on him before he turned back and returned as the rest of the track was even more underwater
1 of the bridges over the Murray River.. that white tip is the 2m (That's about 6'6" to most of you on here) flood marker
Camp setup next day... being the only 1 without an awning really just hits home how much I need/want 1.
Threw a line but didn't catch anything except a tree branch sadly.
Overhead from mates drone
Out getting firewood, plenty of Jarrah to carve up
Group shot before we left.
1 the main reasons I love heading out bush and camping, enjoying the stars
Given we have had 1 of the wettest winters on record we weren't "that" surprised about some areas being wetter than usual but just how much was several metres under water did cause change of plans but we found a good site (Mates has been there previously so had good idea where to go)
