Wow!

The oldschool split color really makes a difference in the lines  I hope Toyota is watching

Agreed! I am really impressed with what some other colors can do for it .... and removing that goofy ass "wind deflector" I think I am partial to the green so far, reminds me of Pimps 40 which is what I think of when I think about exactly what I want for a 40. Anyone have a pic of Pimps 40 with the grey steelies on it? Photochop those in on the green FJ and we'll be getting somewhere :D

I bet Pimp will post multiple pics in 3... 2... 1.....

Can we see a front view of that two tone? No kidding, it looks 90% better. I didn't think it looked like a 40 anyway, but now, you can really see the 55 in it...especially in the rear.

First impressions of the "unveiling" were that it looked unfinished and that they pushed too hard to get something unready to be seen out in the public eye.

Now I realize all they needed to do was make it white or do a two-tone with white on top. Those are smokin' and it's apparent that the welcomers here would've been much more receptive. Hind sight is what hind sight is; just hope those in charge integrate some of the mods presented here.

here's the PSD file, for anyone that wants to check out their own colours... after work i'll do more from different angles, and host up the PSD for that too :)

I put a link to 39 pics in the second post on the Press Release thread. Now go for it :)

do you happen to know the username and password to access the high resolution shots? i can only get the small, medium quality ones... in fact, i'm having a hard time finding any high res shots at all of this truck, other than ones taken of the concept at the auto shows

kinda reluctant to put this one up as it's not the best work i've ever done... but i'm gonna be late back from lunch if i don't leave now. will work more on it after work

Ok, first I hated it. Now I'm starting to dig it. I like the 55 paint scheme. Its cool.

I like the "55 series paint job" *much better.* Yards better. Acres better.

The stamped bezel is a must have, and really helps lay claim to cruiser heritage. It ought to say "cruiser" instead of toyota tho:)

Ok, sorry for my unoriginality. But the dang thing is way to retro and way to H2 like for me. Land cruisers are all about TOUGH. The only thing tough about that tub is looking at it!

I want a truck I'll be WILLING TO WHEEL DANG IT! I wont be in that.

Right now ONLY Jeep makes a vehicle from the show room to the trail that's Id be willing to wheel. But I dont want a strangler. I want a turbo diesel 74 series.

So there you have it. That's my story and Im sticking to it.

Wow, you really went the long way around doing that file! Tons of work. (Not knocking it)

It would go more easily if you started using the pen tool to create paths around the areas you want to change (well, except the lift) and then use adjustment layers. Give you way more control. :D
