I'm planning on passing some of the milder photochops to the guys at the Toyota booth when I go to the Chicago auto show next week. Some comments too. Maybe it will help influence the final product?

ok take yoppers version with the rear long side window insead of the fin. and push the top up so its all the same hight like the original fj40s, then faze out the rear suicide door as it looks ugly and give it a regular square gas door. then give it some 80 series fender flares to round out the fender wells and while your at it bring the windsheild and all the windows up so the cruiser looks more proportaional to the rest of the "car".

I went to Toyota.com to tell somebody in design to look at this thread, but i can not find a way to contact dem bastids.

this is some serious free market research right here.

I liked it pretty well before. You guys are making the thing pretty damn nice looking.

IMOP, Yooper's version with the windows (post #107) is the coolest so far. I'd also like to give them the bug about the FJ55 paint scheme, thought it greatly improved the lines as well. Maybe include a pic of a 55 so they realize where it's coming from. I would like a front locker but that can always be added aftermarket. The other stuff can't. Combine all of that with $ under 30k and I'll put a deposit down today!

Why not "leak" a few highly detailed photochops (spy shots) to the press in a few weeks? For that matter, photochop it into a parking lot like it was spotted at a coffee shop or something. If you really put your time in it, you never know. At a very minimum, email them to toyota too. I don't think I'd bother giving them to floor drones unless they are Japanese exec types.

What happened to the 40 D-pillar windows? Make it look MORE like a FJ40 not less. Gotta hold you to a high 'chop standard now Chug since you did such a good color job

No, no, we're making 55's and 45LV's now, not 40's. 40's are so two days ago!

Chels, blue, freeborn red, mustard, or john deere green with white above are the colors of choice.
