I just measured my spare and I’m seeing exactly 8.625” tread block width and about 34.75” tall.
I had a feeling they would be even narrower. I need to measure my spare and see how tall it is. I know that it does fit in the factory spare location though. Regardless I think the tall skinny mickey thompsons are great. I saw a set on a 4th gen Taco awhile back on factory wheels and they looked awesome.

If you're looking for something to fit in the stock location, these definitely won't without building a new winch gantry/support/whatever you want to call it. It's the diameter more than width. Otherwise, they're freakin' awesome tires, especially in the snow. Not that you have that down there. Can't say too much about mud traction because what little mud we have is slick clay that turns to concrete, so I avoid it at all costs. They're quiet and stable on the road, decent in the sand (for a pizza cutter), fantastic dirt and rock traction, really tough sidewalls with lugs that have almost as much tread depth as the tire itself and when aired down, help paddle you along. A friend has them but in 315/70-17, and says the same things I do except his have a little bit more floatation in the snow and sand. Also, a 50k treadwear warranty.

*edit- one thing I want to clarify on the width is what I measured was the face of the tread that'd see pavement with the weight of the truck on them. Section width includes the sidewall bulge and those massive sidewall lugs, and that's going to measure more. Lastly, mine are mounted on 7.5" wide wheels. The specs on TireRack will tell you the rim width range, but going with a narrower wheel will get you a marginally skinnier section width, but we're talking fractions of an inch difference if there even is a measurable difference.

I measured mine the same way, but on a slightly wider rim. So that makes perfect sense.

Interesting that something which is stated 255/85 would be taller than something stated 275/85.

I need to measure the free height of mine though. I'll try to do it this weekend.

They're taller than 35x12.50x17 Yokohama MT003's when stood side by side. Go figure. But on that measurement I gave you, I eyeballed it best I could. With the weight of the truck on them, they come out a little over 33" tall.

Yea mine were taller than my 35x12.5r17 Neomax which I had measured to something like 34.6
