Unfortunately, from here on out there is a $25 late fee. You can still sign up for the event up until the 22nd, but your shirts will be mailed after the event.
The last day to be able to order any food is this Thursday, June 11th. After that bring your own, or you will be gambling that there will be extras.

AMEN! Enter the group code Rubithon and it's only $30 for the entire household. You can ask Luke Porter all about it. We got him signed up and while he didn't need it on the trail with us, he had a horrible crash later that year. He sent me a copy of the over $32,000 helicopter bill, PAID IN FULL. We did an article on it in Toyota Trails.
Keep in mind that it is per household, not vehicle. If you have 2 different households in your vehicle, get it for both. I can send you the application if you don't feel comfortable sending me your info.

Agree-please sign up for the Calstar option. I've seen that service save at least one life on the Rubicon trial. I've been a member since, even though I have coverage through other insurance. It's a good thing, and it's inexpensive. Most of you us will spend more than that on beverages for the weekend.

2015 Rubithon RC Crawler Endurance!
Hello everyone! My name is Brian Flynn and I will be running the Rc Crawler event at this year's Rubithon. This is one of the many awesome opportunities to mingle, make friends and have fun at the Rubithon this year. If you have children, and/or an RC, this event will be a must!
You read the title right, this will be more of an endurance than a straight up competition. We will be changing gears a bit and this event will take you on a mini trek through Rubicon Springs, much like driving your rigs down the rubicon trail itself. Think of it like this, just like the real thing, there will be a trail to follow and for the rock buggies on 40+ inch tires you can opt to play on Soupbowl or the Sluice boxes. For those of you with a straight out of the box rc, you can stick to the main trail and bypasses.
This event is being created in this format in order to encourage every single person to participate. Anyone who has an rc crawler of any type should be at this event. All ages are encouraged to sign up. My son will be participating and is only 7 years old.
There will be 4 classes to join; Pro, Scaler, Novice and Junior. There will be a trophy for the top spot in each class. The Pro and Scaler classes will be for those of you looking to push your RC limits. The Junior and Novice classes will be for those of you just looking to have some fun. If you don't want to actually try for a trophy and just want to run the course completely care free, that's cool too!
For all of you looking at the Pro and Scaler classes, you will have score sheets that are a little more involved and technical. This will be designed for those of you with tons of drive time and a fair amount of money into your Rc's.
For those of you looking at the Novice and Junior classes you will be looking at a fun and mildly challenging course. As I stated before, my 7 year old son will be driving in the Junior class. If he can do it, you can do it! As for the age cut off for the Junior class, it will depend on the number of kids signing up and their ages.
The event will be on Saturday at 11am and will start near the main stage in Rubicon Springs. Please sign up at check in if you'd like to participate. It will be designed to be a fun family friendly event! I am one of the trail leaders for the Friday 7am run, so unless you contact me beforehand I won't be able to answer any questions till we arrive in camp Friday night. So if you have any questions now, let me know.
Lastly, if there is interest and people have lights, we can also setup a night run!

I certainly agree that for $30/yr to cover you and your family you can't go wrong with a CALSTAR membership, and indeed I'm a member. But having thankfully never needed this service, I have a question about it. If an accident happens and you need to be helicoptered off the trail to a hospital, will it definitely be CALSTAR that responds? I know nothing about air ambulance services in Placer and El Dorado counties. Is CALSTAR the only game "in town?" Their web site says their South Lake Tahoe area 6 covers Northern CA and NV, so that's good. And I'll bet if Bruce and the other EMS team members have any control over things, they'll call in CALSTAR. But is there any way you could still get stuck with a big bill for air evac even if you do have CALSTAR?
