Here is my off road pic contribution - west side of Laguna Lake. It's not the Rubicon but I had fun riding on the single tracks east of lake with rocks and tree roots while everybody was still asleep at camp!

I wiped out on a rocky section of dips with sharp turns when my helmet visor flipped down blocking my eyes. Bouncing like crazy while trying to flip the visor up. Flew off the track and tumbled down landing on my shoulder. My Camelbak had a hand in saving me from injuries? Definitely, the east side of the lake was fun. Anyway, it made up for missing the actual offroading the group went to Saturday morning since I arrived late afternoon.

My son, daughter, and I had a great time. The pot luck was ridiculously good and an amazing assortment to boot.
I think I was the only one with trail carnage on Saturday..... How did that branch end up through the mud flap??????
It was really great meeting everyone.

How did that branch end up through the mud flap??????

I think that was from turning around at the top of that hill climb.

It's not often that I drool over anythng but a Land Cruiser but this diesel 110 series did the trick!

Hope your trip to Idlwyld was as nice. You'd have been out of place with your FJCruiser. We had nothing but 80's on this trip. No 60's, no 100's and no FJCruisers. Odd.
