OEM steering box removal (1 Viewer)

I am attempting to remove the steering column from the Steering box. Of course dont have a haynes manual. any "tricks" or something I am missing? I have removed almost every bolt on the box itself and the box from the frame. It is still locked in there.
Its a 68 if it makes a difference.
Three speed ltrans linkage is removed and free.

The box and steering shaft are all one piece on a '68, so your options are to remove the whole enchilada or cut the shaft with a hot wrench.
