There are two carriers that will work for installing the rear the TT Locker on the 2016+ LC200.

LC200 # 41101-60180
Tundra # 41101-0C010 (trim mount)

The LC unit is most definetly from Japan. The Tundra unit is made by Hino here in the USA. I have both units on the shelf, and can compare if folks are interested.

Excellent, Brian, thanks for the intel.

My LX is a 2013. How complicated would the installation be?
Rear end is pretty simple for a competent diff/axle shop. The front diff is a little more involved given configuration and clamshell carrier.

You will need to fit a switch at the dash or console for actuation, but not a big deal. We include a lit rocker switch as part of the kit and also offer an 80 Series 2-locker OEM rotary switch if you want a factory look (or might do a front locker at some point). There are also factory style after market switches available.... lots of options.

Any of these will work with the Harrop/Eaton diffs in our kits.

As noted, a competent shop can handle install, re-gear (if you want to go that way) and wiring. We work with a number of installing shops around the USA, no one in NYC, but happy to help/work with new installers.

I first used a tundra carrier in the rear of my '11 and it won't work. There is a harmonic balancer mount cast into the carrier that doesn't allow the rear anti-sway bar to be bolted back onto the axle housing. Don't know if there is something greatly different with an '16+ versus the '08-'15s, but I doubt they changed anything KDSS.

Good catch! The mount can be quite easily trimmed off. If purchasing new, both carriers are about the same price, so go for the LC. There are tons of 9.5" Tundras in salvage yards... so finding one is easy compared to a LC unit.

Obviously, you would want switch with "Rear ELocker" on the face vs. "Front ELocker" and these folks will make one up for you if you want single locker OEM style

The 200 series is available with a rear locking differential in other markets. But if we try to retrofit a locker from a 100 series, the actuator interferes with the rear sway bar. What is different about the overseas models that allows them to run a rear locker that doesn't interfere with the sway bar?

they don't have KDSS.
different sway bar design.

@supercarrera , snap a picture of the rear axle/sway bar on your 570. curious to see how the sway bar wraps around the housing.
you may be able to run the factory 100 series e-locker actuator.

@grinchy , reading through this thread, just realized you are building up a lexus as well. you may be able to straight swap the 100 series locking diff with actuator.

Yep I didn't equate KDSS with sway bar. True lx hasn't got one. I should source an axle with actuator or a third member with actuator. Good tip! @TexAZ

Does anyone make a Torsen for the 200's front axle? I think the answer is "no" but thought I'd ask. It seems like it would be a good application.

Looks like there's plenty of room for a rear diff lock actuator on the LX.

@NYC570 if you end up wanting to do this, maybe we should team up - I'd like to get a Harrop e-locker in my 2015 LX. I'm going to see the guys at Land Cruiser Heaving in Hagerstown, MD next week about an install. I don't know if @bjowett does installs too? Maybe we can coordinate a purchase/install for both of us.

On this thread - does anyone know a three-way rocker switch that will fit in a standard Toyota switch plate. The LX570 doesn't have any switch blanks, so if I get a Harrop e-locker, I'd like to replace the OEM center diff switch with a three way rocker that does "off/center/rear." I'd never engage the rear without the center first and don't plan to get a front locker, so a single switch would work well for me.

Georg Esterer @orangefj45 and his crew at Valley Hybrids / Cruiser Brothers have probably built/installed or sold more of these than most anyone as importer/distributor - around 500 in last 4 years.... including a bunch of rear and front Harrops in 200/LX Series.

CB works with leading specialists like Ken Francisco "Zuk" at @gearinstalls.com and many other shops.

Georg knows a bit about the switch options as well, including custom switches to suit any Toyota series - along with OEM two-locker rotary switches in stock.

I'm definitely planning to do it but it'll be until the spring or summer time. Depending on price, I might get an already set up locker and housing just for me to swap in. It might be cheaper this way and better for me to go this route.

Any more information about the LX switch options people have done or if the 200 is prewired anywhere? Thanks!
