Hey all. Apologies for my earlier mishap posting an empty thread, it's been a rough morning. 😆 Here's what was supposed to be here originally;

Although I've always liked big hoop bumpers and big tires, that level of build just hasn't been necessary for this car yet.

I never intended it to be an OEM + setup, that's what it turned out to be. Basic, simple, relatively light (if you take out all my gear), and functional without being over the top. Of course, there are downsides to this type of setup - no animal protection, minimal rock/tree protection, etc.

2007 V8 4runner with over 200k on it. Lots of maintenance, new steering rack, tranny, rear end, frame patches, needs new LCAs/UCAs, it's a never ending money pit but I love it.

The 8.2 swap almost could be it's own tech post, but since I already messed up once today, I won't attempt another thread. 😁

Fair warning, I don't care what you say about the gear pattern. We can discuss patterns all day and nobody will ever agree that any are correct. 🤤 My dad's been building hobbyist off-road rigs for 20 years, he has some idea of what works and doesn't.

Pressing the new wheel bearings on and figuring out how the hell the park brakes go together was fun.

Car weighs 5400lbs.
