OEM Fule Tank - Primer?

Just got in a OEM tank for my '67 from CDAN.
It seems to be primered.
Does anyone know of any top coat incompatibilities?

Be careful!!! I tried to gold leaf mine, and the leaf would not stick! $2400 in gold leaf down the drain...

i've gotten 2 from the factory.. the first one was painted (6 years ago).. and the second one was primered (this year).. i was a little surprised actually.
