As most of you know, this is a very simple install. I got these OEM crossbars for roof rack since there not much room for luggage when 3rd row seats are being used. Picking friends from the airport with their big luggage. Part no of these OEM crossbars is PT970-60720.

not that I notice with just the crossbars. I sure when the rack is on, it will,.
I am not trying to be a wise guy, but you have something other than a OEM rack with the cross bars? To be honest, you’re the first person I’ve heard that said it’s not loud. Even with the sunshade closed It’s still pretty noisy. Anything over 65 It’s loud anywhere below that it’s not bad at all.

The wind noise at highway speeds is unacceptable for a halo vehicle in this price range (LX 700 h).
Anyone have a solution??

Build quality looks good on these, I’m going to pick them up. Have you tried out a cargo box up there yet?

I guess, delete the bars? I think with any rack/bar/basket/etc system you will have a good amount of noise up there. Even more when you load it.

This. I feel like if you're not using this, you can take it off, since it only take a few minutes to do so. I'm actually glad that lexus added those dimples for the bars to clamp to, so there's no measuring required to put it on.

On my old gx460, there was no dimple sso I had to measure it every time and I just left it on and just close the moonroof liner.

does it say any where the static/dynamic weight limit of this crossbar. I'm looking to see if it'll handle a RTT (iKamper)

Installation manual states maximum load capacity of 176 pounds (80 kilograms) when the weight is evenly distributed. Weight includes carrier rack and cargo.

Important Notes:

  • This capacity includes the weight of any carrier or rack you mount on the cross bars.
  • Always check your owner’s manual for the roof load limit of the vehicle itself, as the total safe load includes the bars, carriers, and cargo.
  • For safety and performance, do not exceed the lowest-rated component (either the bars or the roof).

Let me know if you need specs for a specific type of attachment (like cargo boxes or bike racks).

Thats exactly what the manual says. “Remove when not in use. Retorque bolts every 600 miles.”

I ma going to remove my cross bars tile I need them--way too much wind noise.
Hey you might try to wrap something around the forward bar just to see if it makes a difference? I've had pretty good success with this on some of our roof racks where folks don't want to run a wind fairing. here's one of several videos you can find on this:

This guy is using paracord, but you can also use a bungee, or some rubber tubing (like radiator overflow size) or similar. It's all about disrupting the solid bar so it cuts through the wind better. hth!
