The little odometer on my rig gets stuck at 4.9 miles. The main odometer continues to turn properly. I can reset to 0 but it again gets stuck at 4.9 miles. Anyone have this problem? Is there a simple fix?

I find the reset odometer very helpful in stretching out the distance when the orange fuel light is on.

My odometer has stuck on zero before but not on a particular mileage point. I push the plunger in and then let it pop out on its own, usually clears the debris from the little teeth in there. Just my .02

I believe it's called the trip meter. If your odometer keeps resetting, then you have all sorts of mileage rollback issues.

Yes the technical term is trip meter but I'm not too technical. I am probably suited better for the old BJ60 I used to have. Resetting does not help. Goes to 0 and then gets stuck again at 4.9. I guess I will have to figure out how to pull it apart.

If you figure out how to fix it please post some pics of the process, mine too is messed up

The fix is most likely the little plastic piece on the back of the trip meter with the rectangular holes. It holds the trip numbers at the zero spot when reset.

If the speedo been rolled back or tried to roll back it oblongs the rectangular holes and than they wont reset to zero.

Check that first and see if that's the problem. Most of the time it's white or grey.
