With the small group that we have going, there is no theme. We haven't decided what we're bringing...

Well we've had a few things come up so we won't be able to make it..... This really sucks, I was really looking forward to it.
I have to pull out as well. Last weekend I picked up a viral infection which caused lymph nodes in my abdomen to swell, which interestingly enough is kind of painful. After some time in the ER, some time off of work and a bunch of freaking tests I'm finally starting to feel better but don't have a camping trip in me right now...sorry guys was looking forward to seeing the crew again.
Still pissed i'm going to miss this, I had thought I might be able to get away from work at 12 and then shoot up there but looks like it will be more like 5.
I've missed this trip two years in a row now, maybe i'll have to just do it by myself in November when I have a weekend off.

What a great fall trip. Even though most areas were past peak, we hit some valleys that had great color.
Mortimer is a great campground, even though we had a Francis Frank episode but on a Jekyll and Hyde scale! Lots of night time downhill rally style driving in the forest roads surrounding the area. Brown Mountain Lights are quite the attraction up there, and the jury is still out...
Pics will come soon... Tomorrow is time to dig into a passenger side birf to see what prevented the 80 from attending...
