Sadly, I need to sell my 1964 FJ40. It has had a complete restoration with everything either repaired, replaced or upgraded. Here’s a partial list of upgrades or newly replaced items: New paint, new battery, high- efficiency distributor, new Weber carb, new interior, new gas tank, all new brakes and brake lines, Bestop soft top and doors. LED headlights, new clutch, new instrument cluster, new alternator, new rear bushings and leafsprings, all new wiring, BFG tires and wheels. There is a complete under-coating inside and out. There is no rust anywhere. I will include unrestored side panels with glass and doors, towbar, all repair manuals and all receipts. Receipts total over $81,000. Old odometer read 31,700 miles before being replaced.TMU. I am asking $25,000. I will send more photos upon request. Location is Oceanside, CA.

81k? You got it right with the seats and some OEM bits (turn signals, etc). But people miss the mark when it comes to “restoring” these. OEM paint color choices are best. Selling the hard top and getting an aftermarket top was a mistake. Wheels are still available from Toyota.

are the rear doors a different shade than the rest of the tub? they both look darker in the above pic
