Greetings from Newbie Land.
The day after I purchased my LC the check engine light came on. I could feel my wallet getting lighter. I took it to the TOy dealer and they said that the O2 sensor was the culprit. They recommended swapping out both. Ok I thought, and left it at that (what a newbie). A few weeks ago i was checking the exhuast line (locating the rattle in the heat shields)and I came across the O2 sensors. The one placed after the cats was clean and shiny. The sensor placed before the cats looked as though it had gone 90,000 miles. Could the dealer have charged me for two new sensors and only installed one? How can I find out? The other thing, is that my check engine light has been acting up again...coming on one day and shutting off the next. Should I just take it to the dealer or autozone to get the diagnostic code? I'm a little paranoid because some dealers in the area have been known for charging for repairs/maintenance that were never performed. Jersey!
Thanks.
