NP540 transmission (1 Viewer)

I recently found an NP540 5 speed tranny in a 70's era school bus. 6.00 1st, .82 OD. 13" long case, mated to a Chevy 350, good for some type of cruiser! I've done a general google search, picked up the above interesting info... anyone here have any experience with one of these? Thanks.

THATS WHAT I NEED!!!!!
I want an OD sooooo bad, just can't afford either a tranny with one or a standalone.
Still can't touch my 7.05:1 1st though. :-*
Good luck finding an adapter to the 3 spd case.

Won't touch my Turbo 4-Runner w/ 4.31 1st and dual cases, either!

Anyone interested in some pictures of this beast? I'd rather have a Toyota transmission.... maybe I'll sell it.
