With all this IH8FJC stuff and talk of wanting a FJ7X I might have a great solution, or maybe not.

Most probably have heard of those Kit Car companies. Basically they provide to some extent or another parts that can be mated to a donor car to recreate a desirable classic.

Cobra, GT40 and others are the more well known.

So we get a hold of one of these companies such as ERA out of CT. And work out a replicar of the classic 1983 FJ40. The donor vehicle would be a FJ80/FZJ80. They supply the frame, body and interior we supply everything else.

The beauty is that it only has to meet 1983 regs as far as I know, which means exclusion of air bags and such.

This way you get classic looks with modern technology of ABS, Lockers and such.
