It sounds like a Puerco run - How about meeting at the end of Southern around 9:00 AM this Sunday, November 11th? Anyone is welcome. Depending on what other's schedules look like, I'd suggest wheeling around out there for a bit and planning to be done by early afternoon.
Anybody else up for some wheeling in the Puerco tomorrow?
Evan
Onur -
I've been following your rebuild thread. Congrats on getting the head removed, and it's good to see that your HG didn't show signs of imminent failure. I'd like to see mine go a lot further before needing replacement. It sounds like your job at American is really going to pay off. You may never see a paycheck, but you'll have a big pile of parts to show for your efforts!
We'll be thinking about you while we're out on the trail.

Ya know, sometimes it's fun being a mod and being able to view what folks delete.![]()
Yep. I thought better of that post after I remembered that he works at AmToy and my prices *might* fluctuate depending on the ferocity of my posts. That and he has access to those damn knitting needles.
I need someone to pick on since Greg is hurtin' and all. Wouldn't be fair to slap him around for a few more days.

Back to the topic at hand (not that it isn't fun to bash Beno), we had a great time wheeling yesterday. A beautiful day - it could have been mid-September instead of November. One more chance to wear shorts.
We had five trucks show up. Eric Neimeyer in his Proffitt's-built 40 (very nice if you haven't seen it, 3FE with a 5 speed), Ron's black 100, Rudy in his 4Runner, Harry and friends in their 80 (used to be Harry's) and me in my 80.
We did the usual route through the wash and ran the normal obstacles. There seem to be more and more trashed vehicles out there every time I go. We passed a (used to be nice) Grand Cherokee that was trashed and full of bulletholes - this one was rare because it hadn't been torched yet.
Harry is working on an "80 vs. 100" compare and contrast article for 4WD Toyota owner magazine. He took some nose-to-nose pictures of Ron's 100 and his old 80. Should be an interesting article.
Nothing too major to report - just had a fun day wheeling. I got my rig pretty well stuck trying a new (to me) obstacle, but luckily Eric was able to pull out the 80 with a strap from his 40. Rudy had some rear bumper damage to his stock bumper - time for a new beefy one.
We're all warmed up for the moonlight run next week!
