I'm surprised it's lasted 4 days. Doubt it makes it though the weekend without being sold. I'm not seeing massive rust in the pics he posted. If it was anything but that ugly ass brown, I'd be making a call.

Just depends on how much cancer she's got...

My thoughts exactly.

Couldn't see much of the rust in the pictures either, wish I had the funds.

It has factory power steering also. He said he has a couple of guys coming to look and was sticking to $7k. I'm sure he's got a good bit of interest. If I were closer I might make a run at it but being long distance is a big disadvantage. The frame is supposed to be good also.

I can almost smell the cottage cheese packed into those areas. I'd also be willing to bet it is in the rear sill as well as the floors.

When the sellers says " Full disclosure, while the truck runs and operates well, it has a great deal of rust.

This would be a MAJOR project to fully restore."

I am guessing he isn't making it up to decrease his chances of selling

I've seen some 40s where the owner considered a little bit of surface rust..."major rust." Not saying that's the case here at all, but people have differing opinions of what "major rust" is. Obviously you would need to put some eyes on it...from the few photos he posted you can't tell.

I consider major rust on a FJ40 a hole that you can drop a closed fist thru or an area where the body is no longer held onto the frame because it has rusted out. Other than that i'm realistic about body work. Even with that rust that is still a great price.

Those pics could give me nightmares.
