For Sale Not mine. Advice request

Have been mostly looking at fj40 but prices if I am going to wheel it seem high relative to the risks of wheeling. So then I started looking at 60 and 80.

Am curious what the wisdom of the group is regarding this rig.

I know the 1HDT had issues with the big end bearings in the motor Land cruiser direct has this one for sale also. Land Cruisers Direct - 1991 Toyota Land Cruiser HDJ81 VX #9139

I think Land cruiser direct does the bearings and other things when they get a vehicle in.

I'm not to familiar with 5spd diesel pricing, but that seems pretty good. For any diesel 80. However, I would want to thoroughly check that undercarriage as it looks pretty crusty. Especially check out the pinch welds and places that are hard to wash like inside of the quarter panels at the bottom behind the rear wheels.

Hard to find an imported 80 in LHD, so that's cool. +1 on the rust concern though...

Price is decent given vintage and motor ... +1 on the rust comment ... but if you’re going to wheel, you’ll spend the same money buying a well built 80 here with lockers or a much cheaper 80 you can built yourself. Depends on what you’re going for.
