"please don't ask a million questions"

^^^ That's the response to: Tell me you're a Californian selling a car without telling me you're a Californian.

Meanwhile, they can't even provide a photo of the left side of the dash/steering wheel.

It's very close to you, if you were interested you could put some skin in the game.
IMHO it's a find with only 105K miles and it looks clean !!

Just compare it to other listing here 🤷‍♂️

Sure - but you've got to go through a condescending douche like the seller appears to be. And I don't have FB to message and get contact info. And I'd be scared of each and every question I might feel the need to ask. I think they just want someone to divine their address and show up with cash or bitcoin or whatever.

I think your reading to much into the add. and assuming a lot ! If you don't do FB why bother whining :p

Me I just posted to help out the Community.

I don't do FB ether, I do have a account to access Market Place as it's one of the biggest on line markets out there !

Again, I hope the original post helps someone out !

Yes, concur. This is the type of homework people should do before you give personal info (name, phone, email, etc) to sellers or buyers. Do your homework and protect yourself for scams.

If a seller doesn't want to answer questions via FB messenger or text or phone that aren't addressed in the ad, that's a huge red flag.

They should be making clear who possesses the vehicle, where the title is held and in whose name(s), in CA (if emissions has been done), and so on.

This is my last post on this thread
1) I did not see anything shady in the FB post Add, If I did I would not have posted it here ! at 65 I have bought and sold many used cars and trucks and have looked at thousand of adds.
2) The city and state are in the FB add
3) I don't think he said not to ask questions just not a million of then.
4) To my knowledge only Law enforcement & DMV has access to someones address via there license plate. ( someone abused there power ?)
To post it on the internet only helps thieves as a legitimate buyer is not going to show up announced.
5) IMO you should remove that post !
6) I'm done !!

I did not use the license plate to identify the address. The seller provided the house number in their photos and often that is all it takes.

I took the address out of my post.

Also, per the photos (so I don't get accused of using Law Enforcement or DMV resources), the registration expired in May, 2024.

I contacted the seller. "Got it on a trade deal about a month ago. [Title] not in my name. Open title."

And they confirmed they aren't a dealer.

This is curbstoning - which is illegal.
