Hello have a convert; my neighbor from down the street wants to move to a LC and questioned the difference between a 2014 and 2015 model years. I told him I don't believe there are any changes and a 2016/17 will be a change; recommended a 14 model year due to the cost savings. Several dealerships nearby have 14's still on lots. Thanks

I'm also hunting a 2014 and I'm finding no dealers are interested in dealing with only 7 weeks left in 2014 (this is in the DC area). In fact one dealer just dropped the price on their 2015's to $71,488 and they're asking $71,220 for their 2014! I'm looking to be at $69K + TTT for a 14. Looks like I'm going to have to wait until the new year to possibly pick one up.

Be willing to travel a bit. IMHO, $69K + TTT is easily had on a 200 in my area (not so much for the LX version)

That's what was I was I was thinking, but I checked with dealers in neighboring states (NC, WV) and they weren't willing to deal either.

i think $69k is a really tough deal, i looked everywhere and the best i got was 69,888 +dest, tax, tags, licensing and dealer processing. that's even after i knew the owner of the dealership chain and the GM of toyota and have bought several $100k plus cars from them.

Bought ours from Rice in Greensboro and both they and Leith in Raleigh were coming off 10,000 from MSRP with no haggling on 2014's last month. Rice got the nod because they beat Leith 500 after haggling. No other Toyota dealership around me in NC wanted to come off any from MSRP. If Leith still has their 2014 you need to give them a call. Some dealership down east in Greenville or New Bern also offered 10,000 off MSRP on the phone before haggling but I can't remember which one.

I'd be happy to negotiate, but nobody will come off their already discounted price which is $72K. I'm guessing dealers are waiting for Toyota to throw some cash their way to move 2014 stock at the end of the year. My local dealer (Charlottesville) will sell me a 2015 for what the DC dealer is asking but the color combo I want is 200+ miles away. Trading dealers want my dealer's car shipped to them to keep miles down, but that's around $800 (which my dealer isn't going to do). Guess I'll wait and see what pans out.

Thanks so they are exact yes??? I will ask him what they are offering him as in price I see him friday

I'm new here and have been trying to buy a LC200 for about a month. I'm finding equal or better deals on 2015s as opposed to dealers that are still stuck with their 2014 units. Seems the dealers with 2014s are upset at still having them and refuse to budge lower due to their emotions. Glad to hear the 2015 is the same.

Drug get I am from the Philadelphia area; not far from DC; several up here that are 14.

I'm hoping as we get into the last few weeks of the year dealers will come to their senses and started negotiating on existing stock. As I told one salesman there probably aren't a lot of people shopping for an $80K toyota for Christmas. Anyone know what kind of discount might be had on a 2014 LX570?

Hey guys,

Introducing myself here, CTapia. I hung out awhile back on the Truck forum (My current truck, 05 LTD Tundra DoubleCab 4WD with a few mods.. ;) Anyhow, I have started looking at the LC200, so these threads are a great resource. Got a quote from a Bay Area dealer via email for $72,393 plus tax/Lic. ect.. Looks like its right up there with what you guys are seeing. Thinking about what you guys are saying of going to a different state and possible save $3K +/- .. hmm.. road trip! :)

*Edit* oh whoa, I just saw my old sig.. I need to update as the LX470 and Taco have been long gone..

Welcome CTapia - from dealers I've talked to (east coast) 2015's can be had for around $71.5K and 2014's should be going to $69K-$70K (but aren't yet). I'm going to call a few dealers in NC & OH tomorrow and get prices and see where they stand. If you're in NorCal I'd be checking prices for dealers in SoCal as they can discount based on volume and I'd also check dealers in the middle like Bakersfield & Fresno which may be stuck with 1 or 2 Cruisers they can't move. I work in LA and will be there in a week so I'm going to price there as well.

Thank you frugger! Yes, good idea/thoughts.. I'll be dropping by a Bay area dealer tomorrow and see how much further down they'll budge and then start calling further out (South Cali). $68Kish would be cool.. but may be wishful thinking on my part.

I picked up my '14 in pearl white for $69K last month -- autonation leesburg, va.
Hey LX prospect, curious how much did you have to negotiate to get $69k?
Was it quick and easy or did you have to drag it out and they finally caved in?

Thanks for the tip. I talked to Cox, Marc Jacobson & Town and Country in NC and Auto Nation Mall of Georgia as they all had 2014's in the color combo I'm looking for and no one would go below $71K (several wouldn't budge off their advertised prices at 72K & 73K). So for now I give up. I'm going to wait until late Dec/early Jan and see if dealers are interested in moving their 'year old' cruisers.

Autonation in Illinois is already selling 15's at $69,500. This is what I was quoted. Unfortunately, they aren't giving jack for your trade, if you have one

So much for awesome resale huh? Lol

It all depends on region. On the west coast you'll be hard pressed to get it below low 70s. There's just more money and people to go around here. But you may get it back when you sell it as people desire non rusty vehicles. Cali sunshine or Seattle rain!

I don't want to travel to rust belt Virginia to save $3k.
