My manager has a truck like that. Small diameter tires that stick out 4 inches a side. Serves no purpose other than looking silly.

Was parked at the back door a while back, " Who's the ****in' micro penis driving that piece of s***? "

I heard the clearing of a throat behind me...

Whatever happened to cops handing out vi's for tire poke anyways?

Every lifted dodge and ford has it now, complete with the flat brimmed hat dbag in the drivers seat.
Wait till the “squat” trucks make it north 🤦‍♂️

Common sense prevailed, that’s illegal now. Just like that lab crapping on the
neighbours lawn has been too.

Yeah but tire poke used to be illegal too.

I remember getting yelled at for less than an inch, and these clowns drive around with half the tires outside the fender.

Basically - Selective Law Enforcement.
Do a daily observation of how many illegal tires there are and how much it really
matters. Used to be to stop rock chips, but we don't have gravel on the roads anymore.
Look at how many illegal, underage, uninsured, unlicensed dirt bikes are on the road on every trip thru town. Following
no observable rules or proper behavior in traffic. Locals are OK and accept that???!! Not likely, but that's the law enforcement spin.
Limo Tint the front windows on your 8" lifted Full size Turbo Diesel truck, nothing.
But, Holy F**K! Hold up a cellphone and they will block highways to stop that.
Selective Law Enforcement.

I think they gave up on cell phones too. Not kidding, every 3rd car that passes my house has a driver holding and looking at their phone while driving. Kid with 'N' sticker nearly went off the road right in front my place yesterday while on their phone. Don't have much faith they'll ever see my kids on the road riding their bikes to school. Try to indoctrinate my kids that all drivers are stupid and you have to watch out every second for your very life.

In general, I think people are loosing it. I see more dumb on the road every day. Folks don't understand that daytime running lights doesn't equate to their tail lights are on. Tons of cars driving at night that way and not visible from behind. Lots running around with headlights left on high beam. Flash them, they don't understand. Lots of lights simply burnt out. Signal lights totally un-used. Stop lights run. Cant stay in their lane. Etc. Man do I enjoy being in a tall big cruiser on 35" tires. People see me, respect my vehicle and stay clear. I take it for granted until driving wife's sedan; then it's like I'm invisible.

DOUCHE OF THE YEAR award winner. Lives in Greece and drives a Ferrari

The expression is called ICEing when said DOUCHE parks and blocks EV charging station spots. But even went so far as to plug in his wheel?!?

I've actually wanted to do something like that a few times now with my cruiser. There's something about Ev's and their owners that bugs me on occasion.

Or maybe we need special parking spots for 35+ year old vehicles which are preventing the emissions of building new ones

They really are virtue signalling at its peak.

That and Elon is such a detestable piece of s***, I couldn't buy one of those things even if I wanted an ev.

I'll just keep driving my 60. I feel like one of the last people who still drives one because they're a cheapass.

Used to be every bj60 driver because they'd run for 25 years with almost zero maintenance.

Although I am getting the strong urge for some sort of woefully impractical car that's fun to drive as a change for a few months a year.

Not sure what that is, the whole cheapass thing does limit the playing field somewhat.

Couldn't agree more!

It’s not EV’s - it’s the governmental hypocrisy.
Smug without any right to be.

Something like that maybe. Many people are into EV's because they think it's really making a difference to the environment, but it's also 'cool' now. Maybe some demonstration of wealth.

I think EV's are not all that with regard to emissions. Power in most cases is still coming from fossil fuels. Even in BC, Hydro is not powering everything anymore. With trending less rainfall, we'll have less hydro power as time goes on. We're importing dirty power. Then, consider the mining costs of the rare earth elements. Costs in terms of enviroment, but also emissions. Costs in emissions of refining all that plus regular metals and forming into a new car. I'm not convinced over the life time of the battery, there is really that great of a net benefit.

Now, if everyone lived close to work and jumped on their e-bike, scooter etc., yes EV tech makes sense. Ask those Tesla drivers how many bikes could be made with their single car battery? How does the car make more sense for the world?

Speaking of! how excited are you for Sannich’s proposal for Mckenzie and your neighborhood?

🤮:poop: Even before Saanich's idea I'm already sick of the increased density/traffic in my area. I really want out. Ideally I'm interested in something further up the peninsula in a rural area. Unfortunately family is not on board at this time.

I doubt it'll result in fewer cars on the road in any case. Just fewer on that road, and more elsewhere.
