That’s what I read also. Piece of land… Ladysmith or that neck of the woods. I recall he bought a bulldozer… but that was quite a while back.

There was also Cruiser Guy who drove home to Calgary from Mexico in third gear in the diesel 55 he built… only to find out it was an easy fix that only required a cheap part & pulling the top off his 5 speed. He’s no longer with us… didn’t come out of a routine surgery in Germany.

So am on a thread in camping, talking about solar, batteries etc. Was informed that Milwaukee makes a
12V charger for 12v & 18v batteries. I didn't know that. I will be carrying my big impact and smaller 12v ratchet
now in my roadtrip toolkit. Having a proper charger for all my Milwaukee stuff is gratifying news. Nice! Gonna have
to update the power line to the back of the 60. I guess now I have a decision made for me between the Milwaukee
and the EGo electric chainsaws.

Yes, the wiper blade is 48” long. Met the owner, an older white woman. She really likes it, totally happy. It’s a fancy city car. Tires are definitely EV specific. Just thought I’d put up the size just for interests sake. Never seen a red one before.

I drove down Douglas beside one. I’m glad to see they aren’t all silver. I don’t think I would ever own one.

Sometimes I hate this tree. On Friday I used the leaf blower to clear the needles from 2/3 of the front lawn. I Grabbed some more gas yesterday so I could finish the rest today…

Now I’m feeling somewhat defeated. But I suppose it could be worse. .

Unfortunately it’s almost 3’ across at the base, 75+ feet tall, and has branches the size of that tree in diameter…






It’s also in Saanich where you need a permit and permission to cut down any tree… and it’s not on our property. It’s a boulevard tree that has branches covering most of our front yard.

You just need some help! I hired some guys from up-island a few years ago for some help with a 3' across Eucalyptus in our backyard. Sucker had 1" growth rings! Was out of control.

Lots of firewood. Hardest wood I've ever tried to chop. Ruined a few mallets/axes/wedges on this. Burned hot though.

Giant Sequoia and Dawn Redwood (and grand fir out of picture) taking off now. Will have to deal with them eventually if I stay in the house long enough. But at least they are less 'weedy' than the Eucalyptus.

That was a large tree, surprised it took to this climate so well. You can always make the argument that you have made your property fire safe - eucalyptus burns like a bugger!

It definitely loved the climate here! In the space of 10 years, it had tripled in size. I've never seen a tree grow so fast. But I'm thinking the storm water access helped. That and my compost and gardens (the tree roots were all through them). Was a neat tree, but just too much of a weed. It's definitely really oily wood, and I can imagine (as seen in Oz) a forest fire in a grove of these would be really scary.

My manager has a truck like that. Small diameter tires that stick out 4 inches a side. Serves no purpose other than looking silly.
