Pinetop has been snowing consistently all weekend, beautiful!

Heh, i have seen the decoy before in unit 10, by a house in the middle of nowhere. I briefly looked at it from 800+ yards and knew it was fake, but i had not seen it move. My buddy then goes “there’s an elk over there!!!” And i got excited thinking he saw a real one, no, he was looking at their goofy decoy.... he was fooled, it was funny.

 

[Living in the Past]

I figured it was a statute similar to the one out front of Cabela's. Antlers around the base and that close to a road decoy didn't come to mind. Maybe the entrance to a subdivision.

speaking of snow country:

we went skiing December 31st, January 1st and 2nd in Flagstaff, and although there was sunshine on New Year's Eve and on the 2nd, it was f*****n cold up there - New Year's Day was overcast and so damn windy that we called it quits at 3:30 already

the good news is: we have all our legs still attached, and feel in great shape to plan our actual ski vacation for the spring

Yeah, it gets cold here. It was 3*F this morning. And the mountain gets serious mountain weather.
