I purchased this rig in June 2023 as the 3rd owner. This was purchased as a secondary vehicle that I was going to build into an off-road/travel rig. However, life happens and last year I went thru a divorce. It’s now my only vehicle and I can’t justify commuting 750 miles per week in a vehicle that gets 15mpg. I’m just looking to recoup some of my money so I can buy a commuter car.
Owners 1/2 were from the same family and also located in the Carolinas. This LX has been garage kept since brand new. Original owner(s) were kid free professionals who used the vehicle for their work commute.
Interior is a 9.5/10. Until I purchased it 2 years ago I’m not sure anyone had ever sat in the back seats. Front passenger seat has very minimal wear and drivers seat is in excellent condition. Minor wear but no tears or major cracks.
Exterior is in very good shape overall. The windshield has a chip and crack that is low and out of driving view. The front bumper is scuffed/flaking in a few small spots and the side/door molding has the fading that affects all 100 Series vehicles. Otherwise, the exterior is in great condition. There are no major scratches, dent, fading, etc. It could use a deep detail and wax/ceramic but overall the exterior is very clean.
Mechanically the vehicle is very solid. There is zero rust on this rig. It’s lived it’s entire life garage kept in NC/SC/GA. The first year I drove the vehicle stock. I planned to start modding in 2024 but after going thru a divorce it became my only vehicle. I put 40k miles on it last year, 99% being highway miles cruising at 70mph.
The AHC is all original and still works flawlessly. The vehicle is nearly 20 years old so it could use a refresh sooner rather than later, but as it sits the suspension is still solid and functioning. None of the bushings are cracked or deformed. It’s an excellent candidate to start fresh with a coil/shock conversion or to refresh the AHC with new globes and bushings.
Last week I did an overhaul of preventative maintenance under the hood; OEM condenser, OEM radiator, Aisin water pump, Aisin timing belt, Aisin fan clutch, Denso spark plugs, hoses, pulleys, seals, etc. I also installed brand new 275/65/18 tires. (32x10.8) I invested the money in refreshing everything in hopes of getting it sold quicker. I am an A&P (aircraft mechanic) and performed all of the work myself in accordance with a FSM.
Mileage is high but this is an extremely clean and well maintained 06/07 100 Series that will make an excellent base for a build.
I’m willing to deliver the vehicle or arrange a meeting. I’m an aircraft mechanic for an airliner and I can provide an out of state buyer with a free flight into Charlotte NC to buy the vehicle and drive it home. Also willing to deliver it to an airport near you, within reason, and fly myself back home.
