I'm just about ready to tackle my 2F to 2F swap. I'm debating if I should keep the drivelines intact and try to wiggle it out as one piece or split the engine/trans? Has anyone done the whole thing at once and would you happen to have pictures so I can envision what I'm up against if that's the route I choose?? Much appreciated!

That is why there is a hinge in the front. Just unbolt from the fenders and the aprons and lower it down to the frame behind the front bumper. Remove the radiator and support. Disconnect the drive shafts, and unbolt the motor mounts on the engine and transmission and everything comes out the front

Depends how good you are. Disconnecting trans from motor/bellhousing and yanking motor out isn’t hard, but can be tedious when realigning input shaft.

I’m more inclined to leave drivetrain in place if it isn’t being serviced, just engine.

if pulling together, it is heavy, and tippy, you need a good picker

last time I just pulled the engine and left the trans sitting on my trans jack, it went alright doing it that way
